Job summary

Charter Casting is seeking a Senior Project Engineer – Capital Projects to lead and deliver capital engineering initiatives across Woodstock, IL and Shawano, WI facilities.

Responsibilities include end-to-end project management from concept to closeout, with project scopes typically ranging from $250,000 to $1 million, requiring collaboration with operations, maintenance and external contractors to ensure on-time, on-budget results while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• Seven+ years of direct project management in manufacturing.
• Experience with capital equipment procurement including RFQ generation and ROI analytics.
• Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional teams and change management.

Responsibilities

• Lead major cross-functional initiatives to enable strategic objectives.
• Collaborate with plants to design and implement major initiatives and projects.
• Act as engineering lead and role model within the engineering group.
• Coordinate with operations, maintenance and external contractors to execute major initiatives.
• Identify engineering needs for key stakeholders and align teams accordingly.
• Coach and mentor staff on best practices for tackling engineering projects.
