Job summary

Charter Casting is seeking a Sr. Project Engineer – Capital Projects to lead large engineering initiatives at Woodstock, IL and Shawano, WI facilities.

You will manage scope, ROI, and procurement for complex capital projects while coordinating with operations, maintenance, and external contractors. You must have a bachelor’s in engineering, 7+ years of project management experience in manufacturing, and proficiency in SolidWorks/AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• 7+ years of direct project management experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with capital equipment procurement including RFQ generation and ROI analytics.
• Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional teams.
• Skilled in SolidWorks and AutoCAD (2D/3D).
• Willingness to travel ~25%.

Responsibilities

• Lead major capital engineering initiatives across Charter Casting's facilities.
• Serve as engineering lead within the engineering group.
• Coordinate with operations, maintenance, and outside contractors.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and safely.
