Job summary

Recaro Aircraft Seating Americas, Inc. seeks an experienced engineer to coordinate all technical activities on assigned seat projects, ensuring compliance with FAA/EASA regulations, customer requirements and RECARO standards.

The role emphasizes communication across disciplines and project participants to satisfy contract requirements and maintain project integrity. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering with 7+ years in seats or aircraft interiors,

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with 7+ years of related experience.
Advanced knowledge of manufacturing processes is required.
Experience in the design of Aircraft interiors is required.
Knowledge of aircraft documentation systems for after sales (CMM, SB) and aircraft configuration control systems is required.
Minimum 7 years’ experience in seats or aircraft interiors is required.

Responsibilities

Coordinates all aspects of the design and certification of aircraft seats with cross-functional teams.
Plans, schedules and tracks engineering tasks and reports to management.
Summarizes customer requirements and ensures expectations are met.
Interfaces with suppliers during the design process and writes specifications for cycles and tests.
Travel up to 25% nationally and internationally may be required.
