Job summary

CIRCOR International, Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to drive New Product Development within a manufacturing environment in Warren, MA.

You will lead cross-functional teams, manage schedules, and coordinate with engineering, program managers, and external customers to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery. You’ll apply PMBOK knowledge and manufacturing expertise, draft technical documents, and support process improvements across projects.

Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with management.
  • Strong project engineering background in manufacturing.
  • Ability to lead New Product Development in cross-functional teams.
  • Familiar with PMBOK and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate complex project schedules and milestones.
  • Support budgets, forecasts, and progress tracking.
  • Coordinate ECR/ECN activities and design changes.
  • Lead cross-functional teams and communicate with internal/external customers.
  • Contribute to process development and performance metrics.
  • Provide technical guidance for proposals and papers.

Job description

  • Complex customerengagement(internal and external customers)
  • Written and verbal communication internally and externally
  • Create,complete,and manageNew Product Developmentproject schedules (Gantt charts)
  • Resource& Milestoneplanning
  • SupportSeniorDirector, Chief Engineerand Program Managersin trackingbudgets and forecast to complete (on time, on budget)
  • Engineering Change Request and Notice (ECR/ECN) coordinationand some processing.
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Communication with external customers to covercontrol of order changes technically; assurance that test and quality standards are achieved; interface with the customer in drawing and document information exchanges; review of contract specifications and communication of the requirements
  • Supports updates to department metrics as assigned
  • Assist the developmentofproject engineering and management processes
  • Experienced in project engineering in a manufacturing environment with at least moderate understanding of manufacturing processes, design engineering best practices, logistics, and leadership skills thatfavorpositive motivation
  • LimitedDesign Engineering work as assigned, including technical papers, calculations and analysis, and models/drawings depending on need and current skillset.May also provide technical guidance for the preparations of technical proposals
  • Theseniorproject engineer can be a technicalleaderon a New Development Project, working with the design engineers conducting the detailed execution and in constant coordination and communication with theSeniorDirector of Engineering
  • All other duties as assigned

  • Excellent demonstrated verbal and written communication skillswith strong, pro-active communication with management on task or project progress, challenges, solutions, and requests for support
  • Self-starter, organized, thorough and meticulous, able to work under pressureto ensure quality and delivery, but quality over delivery if any compromise cannot be avoided despite schedule pressure
  • Skilled at projectengineering with i nterpersonal skills- - PMBOK techniques a plus
  • Significant knowledge and understanding ofstandard manufacturing concepts,practices,and procedures
  • Resourceful and well organized
  • Ability to lead a New Product Development project andeffectively work in a cross-functional team
  • Technical Writing- Procedures, Results, as assigned
  • Dedicated to high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to perform in an ambiguous environment
  • ProficiencywithMicrosoftOffice (Word, Excel, Project, Outlook, Access)
  • Previous experiencewith Integrated Project Teams is a plus
  • Valve design familiarity a plus, but manufacturing environment experience required
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, with at leastfiveyears’ relevant experience. Valve, regulator, fluid mechanics/control related coursework/education will be additional qualification, will consider work experience in lieu of degree.
  • PMP Certificationa plus, but not required, but must have working knowledge of PMBOK at minimum.
