Gallo Glass Company in Modesto, CA, is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead capital projects from concept through start-up, partnering with operations, maintenance, vendors, and leadership to deliver on safety, quality, efficiency and cost targets.
The role requires coordinating scopes, resources, and budgets, translating complex plans into installations, and guiding projects through design, construction, and start-up while balancing schedule and cost.
About Gallo Glass
Gallo Glass, established in 1958, is a state‑of‑the‑art glass manufacturer committed to meeting the needs of its customers while minimizing its environmental impact. It is the largest glass plant on the West Coast and the only plant in the world solely dedicated to the wine and spirits industry. The company runs 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, turning 1,500 tons of molten glass into 2 million bottles per day.
As a Senior Project Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in shaping the future of manufacturing by leading projects that bring new systems, capabilities, and innovations to life. Working cross‑functionally, you’ll partner with operations, maintenance, vendors, and leadership to design, build, and start‑up capital projects that directly impact safety, quality, efficiency, and cost performance.
In this role, you’ll take ownership of projects from concept through execution—developing scopes, aligning resources, managing budgets, and ensuring timelines are met. You’ll translate complex plans into real‑world installations, guiding projects through design, construction, and start‑up while navigating competing priorities across scope, schedule, and cost. Along the way, you’ll influence key decisions and ensure compliance with regulatory and operational standards.
You’ll lead multiple projects or components of larger initiatives, coordinating internal teams and external partners to ensure successful delivery. Your ability to communicate clearly, build alignment, and remove roadblocks will be essential as you drive progress and maintain momentum.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a visible impact—improving existing systems, supporting new product commercialization, and helping build the next generation of glass manufacturing capabilities.
Competitive compensation, medical and dental coverage, 401(k) plans, profit sharing, pet insurance, company holidays, and access to an employee wine shop. Additional information will be provided before your first interview.
