Job summary

TRATON USA R&D Team in Lisle, IL is seeking a Senior Project Engineer specializing in multibody simulation to drive vehicle performance for trucks, buses and EV platforms, using ADAMS/Car or SIMPACK.

You will analyze ride comfort, suspension performance and structural durability, influence key engineering decisions, mentor fellow engineers, and advance simulation methods and predictive capabilities across programs. Relocation assistance is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (or higher) with required experience

TRATON USA R&D Team has a great opportunity for a Senior Project Engineer - Multibody Simulation - TRATON USA R&D.

As a Senior Project Engineer - Multibody Simulation, you'll play a critical role in developing and optimizing trucks, buses, and electric vehicle platforms through full vehicle simulation. Using ADAMS/Car or SIMPACK, you'll analyze ride comfort, suspension performance, structural durability, and load prediction to drive key engineering decisions and improve vehicle performance. This role is located onsite at our International WHQ's in Lisle, IL. Relocation assistance is available.

In this role, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams across design, testing, and durability engineering, solve complex technical challenges, and help mentor and develop fellow engineers. You'll also contribute to advancing simulation methods and predictive capabilities that support next-generation vehicle development.

Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in engineering with at least 5 years of experience OR a master’s in engineering with 3 years' experience, OR a PhD with at least 1 year of experience U.S. work authorization is required.
