Job summary

International Motors, LLC in Huntsville, AL, is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to plan, implement, and manage quality systems across production and supplier networks. You will design inspection methods, analyze data, and ensure compliance with ISO9001 and internal standards.

Job description

Position Overview

International is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer

This role will be responsible for planning, implementing and managing compliance of manufacturing and production processes with internal and external safety, quality and regulatory standard requirements for worldwide distribution.

Design methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of production processes, production equipment and finished products.

Performs analysis of reports and production data to identify trends and recommend updates or changes to quality standards and procedures when necessary.

May assure compliance to in-house and/or external specifications and standards (i.e., ISO, or other mfg stds).

Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and at least 1 year of Engineering and Quality Assurance experience

  • Master's degree and no experience

  • At least 3 years of Engineering and Quality Assurance experience
Additional Requirements
  • Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Desired Skills
  • Knowledge and proficiency in using problem solving tools, quality tools, and working within prescribed quality systems
  • Able to be self-manage and work with colleagues well within the plant, suppliers and customers
  • Familiar with new model launches and the role that Quality completes during new model
  • Understanding line calls and how to control incoming stock, the production line and the shipping area
  • Proficient with Office 365 tools, with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
  • Education and experience expectations
    • If no degree, 3 years manufacturing experience in Engineering or Quality Assurance
    • If Bachelor's degree, at least 1 year experience in Engineering or Quality Assurance
    • If Master's degree, no experience required
