The Project Manager will lead engineering projects focused on process improvements, facility upgrades, and capital initiatives across multiple operating sites. This role is responsible for planning, execution, and delivery of projects on time and within budget, coordinating with internal teams and external contractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and deliver engineering projects within scope, schedule, and budget
- Lead project planning, cost estimating, scheduling, and resource coordination
- Develop and review engineering deliverables (PFDs, P&IDs, specifications, equipment selection)
- Prepare bid packages, manage vendor evaluations, and support procurement decisions
- Coordinate design reviews to ensure compliance with engineering standards and safety requirements
- Direct project engineers, construction coordinators, supervisors, and drafting resources
- Monitor expenditures, manage change control, and prepare project status reports
- Oversee construction execution and ensure successful project closeout
- Promote strong safety practices and perform contractor and site safety reviews
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of project management experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP certification (or actively pursuing)
- Strong project cost control, scheduling, and multi-project management skills
- Experience preparing and evaluating bids and contractor proposals
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams
- Solid understanding of safety standards and best practices
- Proficiency with project and business tools (MS Project, Excel, SAP/JDE, P6, SharePoint)
- Familiarity with electrical controls and low- to medium-voltage equipment
