Job summary

CPS Inc. seeks an Engineering Manager to lead and implement critical engineering programs that maximize facility reliability. This role drives capital project execution, manages the capital budget, and supports the ISO 9001 quality management system through ongoing infrastructure improvements.

The manager will oversee contractor programs, ensure safety and regulatory standards, and collaborate with plant leadership to enhance downtime metrics and equipment performance for sustained quality.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the capital planning process and execute the capital plan to complete projects on schedule and within budget.
• Direct the capital budget and cash flow forecasting for project expenditures; oversee closing of completed projects.
• Manage the overall Process Safety Management contractor program and coordinate onsite contractors for safety and regulatory compliance.
• Partner with plant leadership to analyze downtime metrics and champion initiatives to improve reliability and equipment performance.
• Provide high-level technical and engineering expertise to optimize unit operations and support long-term plant quality systems.

Job description

The Engineering Manager reports directly to the Plant Manager and is responsible for developing, implementing, and measuring critical engineering programs to maximize facility reliability. This leadership role drives capital project execution, manages the capital budget, and oversees contractor programs while supporting the plant’s ISO 9001 quality management system through continuous infrastructure improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Capital Project Leadership: Oversee the capital planning process and execute the capital plan to ensure all projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
• Financial Management: Direct the capital budget, manage cash flow forecasting for project expenditures, and oversee the formal closing of completed projects.
• Process Safety & Compliance: Manage the overall PSM contractor program and coordinate onsite contractors to ensure strict alignment with facility safety and regulatory standards.
• Continuous Improvement: Partner with plant leadership to analyze downtime metrics and champion engineering initiatives that enhance overall plant reliability and equipment performance.
• Technical Oversight: Provide high‑level technical and engineering expertise to optimize unit operations and support long‑term plant quality systems. #LI-RM1
