Job summary

Tiltedge Solutions is seeking a Senior Engineering Project Lead to drive capital projects and plant improvements from design to startup at our Texas facility. You will coordinate design, construction, and commissioning, while leading internal teams and external contractors to ensure safety and compliance.

The role requires 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience, strong project management, and the ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
• 5+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary projects from planning through completion.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specs.
• Knowledge of OSHA, general industry, and environmental compliance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with computer software and Google Workspace/G Suite.

Job description

Lead and execute capital projects, plant improvements, equipment installations, and engineering initiatives. Will manage projects from design and planning through installation, commissioning, and startup while ensuring compliance with scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage capital projects, equipment modifications, plant improvements, and new installations from concept through completion.
• Develop project scopes, engineering designs, cost estimates, schedules, and capital expenditure justifications.
• Coordinate design, engineering, construction, installation, commissioning, and startup activities.
• Manage internal maintenance teams and external contractors during project execution.
• Provide engineering and technical support to Production and Maintenance teams.
• Troubleshoot complex equipment, process, and operational issues and implement effective solutions.
• Analyze existing processes and equipment and recommend improvements to increase productivity, reliability, and efficiency.
• Evaluate new technologies and engineering solutions for plant and process improvements.
• Develop and maintain engineering standards related to projects, equipment, safety, design, and cost control.
• Support new product and system development initiatives.
• Ensure projects are completed within approved budgets, schedules, scope, and production downtime constraints.
• Promote and enforce safety policies, OSHA requirements, and environmental compliance.
• Translate technical information and engineering requirements into practical solutions for operations and maintenance personnel.
• Support project training, equipment turnover, commissioning, and long-term ownership.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.
• 5+ years of engineering experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary engineering projects from planning through completion.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production equipment, and continuous-production systems.
• Experience working with contractors and/or internal maintenance teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Strong technical, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of OSHA, general industry, and environmental compliance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with computer software and Google Workspace/G Suite.

Physical & Work Environment:

• Requires regular movement throughout a manufacturing/plant environment, including standing, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, and handling materials.
• Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. may be required.
• The work environment may include extreme heat/cold, humidity, wet conditions, noise, vibration, temperature changes, and operational hazards.
• Safety procedures and required PPE must be followed at all times.
