City of Conroe seeks a Senior Project Engineer to oversee and manage complex municipal infrastructure projects, including water, sewer, streets, drainage, and signal systems. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget, ensuring regulatory and quality standards are met.

The Senior Project Engineer is a responsible, professional, and technical position with duties including, but not limited to, overseeing and managing complex engineering projects within the municipality including infrastructure development, maintenance, and improvement projects. This role involves ensuring project compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, supervising project teams, and collaborating with various stakeholders to deliver projects efficiently and within budget. This professional should have extensive knowledge in water, sewer, streets, drainage, and signal infrastructure services. Work is performed with considerable independence within the framework of established procedures, City of Conroe, and departmental policies.
Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in related field and five years of civil engineering experience, some of which are with a municipality, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Requirements: Registered as a Professional Engineer in the State of Texas; certified as Floodplain Manager. Familiarity with various types of engineering software preferred. Possession of a valid class "C" Texas driver's license or higher.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
The work is light work and requires exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force to move objects. Additionally, the following physical abilities are required: hearing, mental acuity, speaking, repetitive motions, standing, talking, visual acuity, and walking.
