Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Denver, CO seeks a Project Director to provide strategic oversight and successful delivery of a diverse portfolio of projects within scope, budget, and schedule.

You will lead cross-functional teams, govern risk, engage stakeholders, and ensure regulatory compliance while driving continuous improvement and business development in transportation consulting services. The role demands a Civil Engineering background, 12+ years of experience, and PMP certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• 12+ years of professional experience; 6–8 years PM experience, including multi-discipline projects.
• PMP certification required or must be obtained within one year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Portfolio leadership: deliver a portfolio of projects aligned with client goals and firm strategy.
• Project reviews & coordination: monitor status, risks, and performance with project managers.
• Client & stakeholder engagement: act as primary contact for high-level client interactions.
• Governance and risk leadership: establish portfolio governance and mitigation strategies.
• Quality assurance: ensure projects meet internal quality standards.
• Strategic planning and business development support for transportation consulting.
