Job summary

Kitchell in Los Angeles seeks an experienced Project Director to lead our Southern California region and drive the execution of large, complex projects. This site-based role is embedded at the client campus in Los Angeles and requires coordinating across departments from planning through final closeout.

You will head a Project Management Team of 4–8, manage 5–10 projects ranging from $1M to $50M, handle budget, schedule, and change orders, and ensure compliance with public codes, DSA processes,

Qualifications

• 15 years of experience in management of multiple construction projects
• Experience with large Capital Improvement programs
• Experience in Educational Facility Construction preferred
• Experience with Central Utility Plants and Data Centers preferred
• Experience with BIM and alternative delivery methods preferred
• Leadership in LEED certified projects preferred
• Experience with DSA construction/design processes preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead a Project Management Team
• Organize, direct, train, and manage a Project Management team of 4–8 people
• Manage 5–10 projects simultaneously ($1M–$50M each)
• Deliver projects on schedule and within budget across various types
• Review, negotiate, and process change orders
• Review and develop design and construction contract documents
• Coordinate budget and schedule with Relocation Project Manager for FF&E/Disposal/Relocation
• Closeout projects including DSA closeout
• Collaborate across departments from planning to completion
• Identify risks and implement mitigation plans
