Disney Cruise Line in Celebration, FL, seeks a Senior Project Design Manager to lead the planning, integration, and delivery of design and engineering for complex capital projects across island and destination assets. You will act as Owner’s Representative, ensuring architecture, engineering, creative, and operational needs are fully integrated from concept through turnover.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years in architecture, engineering, or design management within complex project environments.
• Led multi-disciplinary design teams across full project lifecycles.
• Broad knowledge of commercial construction practices, codes, and integrated design processes.
• Experience as client-facing or owner’s representative.
• Proficient with design and project tools (Revit, AutoCAD, BIM).
• Exceptional presentation and communication skills; capable of influencing executive decisions.
• U.S. Professional licensure (Architect or Engineer).

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design and engineering delivery across multiple concurrent projects from concept through construction.
• Ensure design excellence, constructability, schedule alignment, and quality.
• Drive innovative, sustainable, and experience-driven design solutions.
• Prepare feasibility studies or code assessments for existing/future facilities.
• Integrate architectural, engineering, creative, show/ride, and operations disciplines.
• Collaborate with internal partners and external consultants to align design with requirements.
• Oversee consultants, deliverables, and contract compliance as Owner’s Representative.
• Develop scopes of work, lead RFPs, and support consultant selection.
• Own design schedules, labor plans, and budgets; monitor progress and costs.
