Job summary

Vantage Group seeks a Senior Project Legal Counsel to support complex design, construction, and operation matters for a major JFK infrastructure program. You will counsel on contracts, disputes, insurance, and regulatory compliance while partnering with senior leadership.

The role requires expertise in construction law, litigation support, and regulatory risk management, with a focus on handling high-value projects in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New York State Bar required.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in construction law, mediation, arbitration, litigation, and insurance claims on large infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice related to development, construction, operation, and maintenance of project facilities and infrastructure.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize a broad range of agreements including vendor, consulting, procurement, design, leases, and amendments.
• Prepare and respond to legal correspondence and notices related to leases, contracts, and disputes.
• Collaborate with Design & Construction teams and stakeholders to support contract execution and compliance.
• Advise on state and federal regulatory requirements impacting project operations.
• Support resolution of design and construction disputes through negotiation and mediation.
• Develop and implement compliance processes to monitor contractual and regulatory obligations.
