Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, public administration, engineering, architecture or construction management.
• 2 years of experience in managing construction-related activities or capital improvement projects, plus 1 year of supervisory/project management responsibilities.
• Equivalent combinations of education/experience accepted per posting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee permitting processes and plan reviews across multiple infrastructure projects.
• Lead and supervise plans examiners; apply knowledge of engineering, zoning, and permitting.
• Coordinate multi-million dollar utility projects; resolve conflicts and ensure project progress.
• Set schedules and provide direction to staff; train on coordination issues.
• Review plans and plats for zoning compliance; supervise permit issuance per approved plans.
• Ensure contract compliance and review engineering-related contracts and budgets.
• Coordinate funding transfers and capital funding requests within the system.
• Attend meetings to discuss construction issues and coordination between parties.
• Perform other duties as needed.
