Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist to support construction projects across the United States. You will develop and manage moderately to highly complex schedule and cost baselines, collect data, analyze variances, and integrate risk reserves into forecasts.

You will produce standardized reports for stakeholders, implement financial controls, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with project teams while adhering to safety protocols. Travel to project sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Experience managing construction projects is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains integrated critical path schedules for major projects and/or portfolio of projects.
• Generates and analyzes earned value reports and discusses observations with the project manager.
• Performs portfolio analysis and reviews findings with portfolio managers on On Time Delivery, Risk Forecasts, and Project Gross Profit Erosion.
• Performs financial analyses including variance, risk and profit/loss analyses; prepares non-routine financial reports.
• Documents and assesses the impact of project changes on cost/schedule baselines.
