Job summary

KBR is seeking a Sr. Specialist - Project Controls to join our Critical Infrastructure Protection team. You will oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for complex defense programs, ensuring compliance with FAR/CAS and US GAAP.

Qualifications

• Four years of applicable experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of complex program management concepts (budgets, estimates to complete, project schedules, etc.).
• Knowledge of financial accounting as it relates to U.S. GAAP.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including advanced Excel skills and development of PowerPoint slides.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and control WBS and lead project set up activities to ensure compliant and effective cost charging, billing and revenue recognition.
• In-depth knowledge of financial forecasting, budgeting, analysis, and reporting cycles, to include experience in estimates to complete/estimates at completion, variance and trend analysis and project schedules.
• Calculate, control, maintain baselines and budgets and monitor project funding, schedules and milestones, calculate estimates to complete, and process scope changes as needed.
• Maximize project cashflow, review customer invoices and minimize and reconcile unbilled balances.
• Oversee subcontractor expenditures, tracking costs & fees against budget. Analyze cost trends and prepare monthly accruals.
• Collaborate with Program Management and customers to achieve financial and contractual deliverables, developing presentations and reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
