Job summary

K&A Power Group in Berlin, CT seeks a highly motivated Project Controls Specialist to join our team. This role focuses on cost control, scheduling, and baseline management for transmission and distribution projects across diverse teams.

You will maintain and analyze project activities, support resource loading, and help drive forecasting, reporting, and risk mitigation to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery for critical energy infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of progressive-related electric utility or related industry experience, with transmission facilities construction management experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent is recommended (10 years of relevant experience).
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced data analysis, financial modeling, and reporting capabilities.
• Experience with utility capital investment business models is preferred but not required.
• Demonstrated financial management experience, including cash flow forecasting and management for capital projects, PO tracking, financial risk assessment, and portfolio financial planning.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage Project Schedules from initiation through closeout supporting the Transmission Organization.
• Support multiple management organizations with properly resource-loaded schedules and reflective logic.
• Develop, maintain, analyze, and manage project activities and resources to support requirements.
• Implements baseline management for cost and schedule to track variances from budgets and scopes.
• Communicate project status and resource loading with team members and management.
