Job summary

K&A Power Group, located in Harford, Connecticut, is seeking an Associate Project Manager to join a dynamic energy and utility projects team. You will assist the PM team and manage aspects of distribution projects, coordinating reporting and developing execution plans to meet client needs.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering or Business (or an Associate degree with 4 years experience), strong Excel skills, and a collaborative, can-do attitude.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business field with minimum 3 years experience or an Associates Degree with 4 years experience.
• Preferred utility construction and project management experience.
• Expertise in Microsoft Office (Excel pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and Excel functions).
• Must communicate clearly both orally and in writing.
• Must work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Hybrid position; must be able to go into the office 3x a week.

Responsibilities

• Assist the internal Project Management team and manage, direct, and coordinate all aspects of work related to distribution and related projects.
• Coordinate and lead monthly project reporting, collect and compile data.
• Develop project approach and implement project execution plan.
• Monitor project schedules, manage scope, and control project costs.
• Support financials, staffing, risk management, change management, contract management, tracking and resource management for all projects.
• Support the project team to ensure deliverables are provided to the client’s satisfaction and that projects follow QA/QC guidelines.
