Job summary

Chesapeake Utilities Corporation seeks a Project Controls Specialist III to manage cost, schedule, and risk across complex capital projects. Hybrid role spanning OH, PA, DE, MD, VA and FL, with focus on forecasts, contingency planning and Monte Carlo risk analysis.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in a related field, 5–8 years in project controls, and Primavera P6 expertise, plus Earned Value Management knowledge and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Finance, Accounting, Project Management, or related discipline.
• 5-8 years of project controls or related experience.
• Advanced Primavera P6 proficiency.
• Advanced forecasting and schedule analysis experience.
• Experience developing risk-adjusted forecasts.
• Preferred: utility/pipeline/LNG/transmission or major capital project experience.
• Knowledge of AACE recommended practices.
• Understanding of Earned Value Management principles.
• PMI-SP, PSP, EVP, CCP, PMP, or similar certification.

Responsibilities

• Develop and validate project cost forecasts and estimate-at-completion projections.
• Monitor contingency utilization and advise on actions based on cost performance.
• Perform advanced cost variance analysis and support cost risk analysis.
• Lead development and maintenance of integrated project controls systems.
• Perform advanced schedule analysis, critical path analysis, and schedule recovery assessments.
• Develop risk-adjusted project forecasts and conduct Monte Carlo analyses.
• Facilitate risk workshops and present updates to leadership.
• Possibly act as senior cost/schedule/risk resource across controls disciplines.
