Job summary

ATS Industrial Automation in Ohio is seeking an Intermediate Project Controls Specialist to create and maintain project schedules and master production schedules. You will work with the Project Manager, department leads and shop teams to forecast activity and ensure on-time delivery for nuclear automation projects.

You will biweekly update Primavera, manage schedule changes, and leverage MS Project and Excel to analyze data and drive informed decisions.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education with practical knowledge of MRP, shop floor control or manufacturing controls systems.
• 3–5 years scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with computerized database systems.
• Primavera and Planview are assets; Microsoft Project and Excel are required.
• Understanding of materials management, production control, logistics and procurement.
• Desire to learn, adapt to various situations, and maintain professionalism.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Biweekly update of Primavera project schedule.
• Generate schedule changes to maintain visibility and drive delivery dates.
• Use Primavera/ designated system to automate data collection and distribution of information.
• Assess CORs for impact to timing, resources, and criticality.
• Implement signed CORs into project schedule with timing/resources.
• Weekly creation and maintenance of a master production schedule for departmental review.
• Determine material due dates with Sales and project teams.
• Provide information to production control to issue due-dated work orders.
• Coordinate work order issuance and kitting to meet the schedule.
• Forecast manpower using benchmark hours and identify capacity constraints.
• Verify critical material deliveries with Purchasing.
• Daily floor status checks to enable proactive actions.
• Participate in weekly Production & Loading meetings with clear dates.
• Run/review MRP and finite schedule to generate plant schedule and vendor releases.
• Communicate scheduling or cost forecasting shortfalls to PM.
