Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Project Controls and Scheduling Manager to join the Construction Services team in North Carolina, based in Cary with flexibility for future U.S. projects.

The role will develop and maintain master schedules for complex water treatment and remediation projects, integrate cost/resource plans, and report to senior management. You will lead a team of project controllers, collaborate with engineers, clients, vendors, and subcontractors in a fast-paced environment while ensuring

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field.
• 15+ years of industry experience, with at least 10+ years in planning and scheduling large capital projects, preferably in water/wastewater and remediation.
• Advanced proficiency with planning/scheduling software (Primavera P6 preferred); integration with PMIS required.
• Strong knowledge of project controls, CPM, and earned value management.
• Experience with permitting, design, procurement, and construction logistics for complex projects.
• Professional certification (PMI-SP, AACE PSP, or similar) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain detailed master schedules for complex, multi-asset capital projects.
• Create and maintain project plans, including WBS, sequencing, resource allocation, budgets, milestones, and basis-of-schedule documentation.
• Collaborate with project teams to define scope, objectives, deliverables, constraints, risks, and key milestones.
• Prepare schedule and project controls specifications for contractors in line with contract terms.
• Monitor progress, identify deviations, and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare and present progress updates, look-ahead schedules, dashboards, and recovery plans for management.
