Job summary

Southern Company Gas is seeking a Project Controls Analyst III to lead scheduling for capital projects and programs. You’ll guide schedulers, promote consistent scheduling standards, partner with project teams to identify risks, and help ensure schedules support successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or Project Management or equivalent education/experience.
• 3–7 years of project scheduling/management experience.
• Hands-on experience in project controls, scheduling, and construction management in heavy industrial settings.
• Experience leading a team and turning strategic objectives into action.
• Strong planning, prioritization, and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and analytical abilities.
• PMP, PMI-SP, or AACE PSP certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead scheduling efforts across a variety of assigned projects and programs.
• Mentor schedulers with day-to-day direction and technical guidance.
• Oversee building and maintaining project schedules in Primavera P6.
• Monitor critical path, float, milestones, schedule variance, and risks.
• Ensure schedules are high-quality, accurate, and consistent.
• Lead schedule reviews with Project Managers and project teams.
• Present schedule forecasts, look-aheads, and explanations of variances.
• Coordinate scope, schedule, cost, and execution plans.
• Contribute to scheduling standards, reporting, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with team leads to keep Project Controls deliverables consistent.
