Job summary

National Grid is seeking a Senior Project Controls Scheduler in Northborough, MA, to join the Major Capital Project Delivery team. The role supports the Major Projects PMO in a hybrid work setup, collaborating with project directors, engineers, and contractors to ensure schedule integrity and project performance on large utility initiatives.

The ideal candidate will manage schedules, perform CPM analyses, and track EV metrics, while coordinating with procurement and legal teams to embed controls

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3+ years in Project Controls, PM, Construction, Scheduling, or similar.
• Experience with large-scale capital projects (utility/infrastructure) valued.
• Experience with Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project valued.
• CPM, float analysis, and schedule risk analysis knowledge a plus.
• Experience with contracts/RFPs a plus.
• Procore experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Primavera P6 schedules for a portfolio of projects; establish baselines and coding standards.
• Perform routine updates, CPM calculations, critical path, float, variance, and trend analyses; produce lookahead reports.
• Track schedule performance with earned value metrics (SPI/CPI) and support recovery plans.
• Identify schedule risks, run what-if scenarios, and support change management and QA/QC checks.
• Lead weekly schedule review meetings with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
