Job summary

WSP is seeking a Project Controls Manager to oversee and direct program controls for a large, multi-modal, bi-state program in the United States. The role sits in Vancouver or Seattle, WA, and focuses on cost engineering, scheduling, risk management, and reporting.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience in financial controls on major programs, with expertise in EVM, PMIS tools, and integrated master scheduling. PMP or equivalent certification is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in financial controls, finance/accounting, and scheduling on large-scale capital programs
  • PMP or equivalent certification preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of earned value management (EVM) and cost/schedule risk assessment

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and direct program controls for a large, multi-modal, bi-state program
  • Spearhead coordination across multiple projects within the program including cost engineering, risk management, and scheduling
  • Develop the integrated master schedule and risk register with spend forecast
  • Lead cost and schedule risk assessment efforts and support DOT/legislative processes
  • Interpret cost reports and trends to assess delivery implications
  • Maintain and interpret risk registers and support mitigation planning
  • Assist with change events and ensure quality across forecasts, schedules, and reports
  • Lead monthly program reporting with integrated cost and schedule narratives to leadership
  • Partner with Technology on data management and PMIS modules for change control and risk management
  • Serve as SME to senior management on schedule management and EVM practices
