Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a driven Senior Project Controls professional to support our Program Management Team in Richmond/Goochland, VA. You will provide solid forecasting, cost engineering, reporting and subcontractor invoicing on large capital projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related discipline
• 10+ years supporting large capital projects in construction management or project controls
• Experience managing CM service budgets, forecasts, staffing plans and project financial performance
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, invoicing and financial reporting
• Experience managing subcontractors, purchase orders and pass-through costs
• Experience reviewing expenses and ensuring policy compliance
• Strong understanding of site operations, logistics, and project support services
• Advanced Excel and familiarity with Oracle, SAP, EcoSys, Power BI or similar

Here’s what you’ll need

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related discipline; or equivalent years of experience in lieu of degree
• 10+ years of experience supporting large capital projects in construction management, site logistics, project controls, operations, or project management.
• Demonstrated experience managing Construction Management (CM) service budgets, forecasts, staffing plans, and project financial performance.
• Strong understanding of project budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, invoicing, and financial reporting processes.
• Experience managing subcontractors, purchase orders, service agreements, and pass-through costs associated with project execution.
• Experience reviewing and approving project-related expenses and ensuring compliance with company policies and client requirements.
• Strong understanding of construction site operations, logistics planning, and support services required for large-scale project execution.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with enterprise systems such as Oracle, SAP, EcoSys, Power BI, or other project controls and financial management platforms.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while supporting fast-paced project environments with minimal supervision.

Ideally, here’s what you’ll also have:

• Experience supporting EPCM or EPC projects exceeding $500M in total installed cost.
• Experience leading site logistics, construction support services, or field operations for major industrial, life sciences, advanced manufacturing, infrastructure, or energy projects.
• Knowledge of project delivery systems, project controls processes, and financial management practices.
• Familiarity with General Conditions management, field cost control, and construction indirect cost forecasting.
• PMP, CCM, or other relevant professional certification.
• Experience mentoring and developing project controls, logistics, or site operations personnel.
• Advanced Power BI reporting and data analytics experience.

The base salary range for this position is $144,700.00 to $240,000.00.
