Job summary

Akima Readiness Support (ARS), part of Akima, seeks a Senior Project Control Manager in Huntsville, AL, to lead the project controls discipline across the Facilities Solutions Group. You will set policies, train staff, and mentor project controls POCs, reporting to the Sr.

Finance Director with a dotted line to the Aerospace Capability Leader. You will oversee cost control, revenue recognition, budgeting, and EAC reviews, ensuring compliance with FAR and government regulations while guiding

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or Business-related field.
• Minimum 8+ years’ experience working for a Federal Government Contractor.
• Solid understanding of all contract types, FAR regulations, government compliance.
• Strong personnel management experience and communication skills.
• Process improvement.
• Ability to present to Senior Leadership.
• Proficiency with Deltek CostPoint, Cognos and Time and Expense.
• Intermediate level MS Excel and PowerPoint

Responsibilities

• Serves as SME in all aspects of Project Control (costing, revenue recognition, month-end close, invoicing, cash flow; budgeting and forecasting; variance analysis; EAC development).
• Provides direct project control support to projects to fill gaps.
• Works with Shared Services and Operations for new project transitions/phase-ins.
• Interacts with and mentors Project Management and Project Controls points of contact.
