Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist to support construction projects across the U.S. You will develop and maintain moderately to highly complex schedule and cost baselines, gather progress data, identify variances, and assist in root-cause analysis while ensuring risk reserves are integrated into forecasts.

The role includes producing standard reports for stakeholders, implementing financial controls, and collaborating with project teams and management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 5 years of related experience or equivalent.
• Experience managing construction projects is desirable.
• Extensive Earned Value Management (EVM) experience with budgets and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains integrated critical path schedules for major projects.
• Generates and analyzes earned value reports and discusses findings with project managers.
• Performs financial analyses including variance and risk analyses.
• Supports implementation of financial controls, procedures, systems and forecasting.
