Job summary

RK&K is seeking a Project Controls Manager to lead project controls for transportation infrastructure and construction programs. The role involves managing multiple project support efforts, including scheduling, cost control, risk management, and reporting, on a part- or full-time basis.

You will oversee SME teams, coordinate with engineers and construction staff, and ensure timely progress and financial forecasting.

Qualifications

• Ten years of project controls experience in transportation infrastructure and construction.
• At least three years in leadership roles.
• Strong understanding of project controls and project management.
• Analytical, strategic, with hands-on leadership style.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of public policy and transportation practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project controls plans and procedures for large programs.
• Draft and improve project management processes.
• Act as management lead for consultant staffing and resourcing.
• Coordinate SME support for scheduling, cost management, risk, and reporting.
• Oversee cost controls, change management, and earned value efforts.
• Collaborate with PMs, estimators, finance, design, and engineers to meet objectives.
• Coordinate inputs with engineering, construction, and procurement teams.
• Review cost, progress, and schedule reports; establish milestones and dashboards.
