Job summary

RK&K’s Project Controls and Construction Management Division is seeking a Project Controls Manager to lead and manage multiple project support efforts in transportation infrastructure development and construction.

The role requires extensive expertise in project controls, scheduling, cost management, risk assessment, and reporting, with the ability to coordinate SMEs and collaborate across engineering, finance, and procurement teams.

Qualifications

• Ten years of experience in project controls for transportation infrastructure development and construction.
• Three+ years of leadership experience.
• Strong understanding of project controls and project management.
• Analytical and strategic with a hands-on leadership style.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of public policy and business practices related to transportation issues.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project controls plans and procedures for large programs.
• Draft and improve project management processes.
• Coordinate and lead SME to support project controls functions.
• Scheduling: implement and maintain cost-loaded master program schedules (Primavera P6).
• Cost management: budgets, forecasts, and cost strategies.
• Risk management: identify, assess, mitigate risks and opportunities.
• Reporting: provide progress updates, cost reports, and risk registers to stakeholders.
• Oversee cost controls, change management, risk management, earned value, and scheduling efforts.
• Monitor contract schedules and budgets; review cost, progress, and schedule reports.
• Establish milestones, dashboards, and corrective actions.
