Primoris Services Corporation is seeking a Lead Project Controls Analyst to develop, implement, and maintain project controls systems for energy services projects in Independence, Missouri. The role ensures projects are completed on time and within budget while meeting quality standards.

You will lead schedules, cost control, EVM analysis, and reporting, collaborating with project managers and engineers to deliver proactive insights and robust project performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years in project controls with 3+ years in lead/supervisory roles in energy/heavy industrial construction.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
• Strong cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and earned value management knowledge.
• Excellent analytical, reporting, and Excel skills.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities; ability to work independently and in a team.
• PMP/AACE certification is a plus; ERP experience (SAP/Oracle) desirable.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, implementation, and maintenance of project schedules using critical path methods (Primavera P6).
• Develop and implement cost control systems, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Prepare and present detailed project reports on cost, schedule, and risk to stakeholders.
• Analyze data to identify trends and improvement opportunities with proactive recommendations.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers for timely input on controls activities.
• Create and maintain WBS and CBS for projects.
• Perform EVM analysis and provide performance insights.
• Support change management by assessing impacts on scope, schedule, and cost.
• Mentor junior controls staff; ensure compliance with policies and standards.
• Participate in kick-offs, progress reviews, and close-out activities.
