Job summary

Expertise Delivered is seeking a senior Project Controls Lead to drive EVM, risk, scheduling, cost control, and change management across a large utility program. The role focuses on maturing PMO and Project Controls processes and delivering data-driven insights to senior leadership.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years of experience in utility/EPC environments, with electric transmission exposure preferred, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams in a remote-first setup.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive Project Controls experience.
• Direct experience in electric transmission projects.
• Deep expertise in Earned Value Management (EVM).
• Strong risk management, including risk registers and quantitative analysis.
• Experience in utility/owner and EPC environments.
• Strong scheduling, cost forecasting, and change management.
• Ability to work with senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support integrated Project Controls functions including EVM, risk management, scheduling, cost control, and change control.
• Evaluate and improve existing PMO and Project Controls processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Perform QA/QC on schedules, EVM, risk, cost, and performance data.
• Support monthly financial reporting, forecasting, and trend analysis activities.
• Identify project trends, risks, and potential impacts on cost and schedule, and provide data-driven insights.
• Collaborate with PMO, Business Operations, Project Managers, schedulers, and cost control teams.
• Provide independent, evidence-based recommendations to project leadership to drive decision-making.
• Lead development and implementation of scalable, consistent Project Controls practices across the organization.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and inclusion within Project Controls teams.
