Turner & Townsend is seeking an ambitious Associate Director- Project Controls to join our growing team in New York. The ideal candidate will lead project controls services for major client accounts and drive process improvements across programs.

You will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and cross-functional teams to define objectives, scopes, and KPIs, and develop detailed schedules. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, or related field.
• Graduate degree in quantity surveying, cost management, construction management, or engineering is preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in project controls in the construction industry.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project and advanced Excel for data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive project control strategies to optimize performance and budgets.
• Collaborate with project managers and cross-functional teams to define objectives, scope, KPIs.
• Create detailed project schedules using industry-standard software and analyze critical paths.
• Monitor progress against baselines, identify risks, and implement mitigation plans.
• Prepare regular reports on schedule, cost variance, earned value, and risk assessments.
• Provide advice on cost estimating, budgeting, forecasting, and earned value management.
• Develop change management processes and contingency plans for project challenges.
• Support teams in data analysis and reporting to aid decision-making.
• Mentor team members on project control methodologies and tools.
• Stay updated on industry trends and apply best practices.
