Job summary

X-energy is seeking a Project Controls Lead to provide expert oversight of planning, scheduling, cost, estimating and change management across programs. You will establish a capable project controls team, partner with leadership and ensure alignment with program plans and performance metrics.

The role emphasizes governance, risk tracking, budget surveillance and data-driven reporting while collaborating with BD and project teams. Based in Rockville, MD with on-site work four days a week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in management, business, engineering, science or related discipline from an accredited university.
• Typically seven years of project controls and management experience in large, complex programs.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Establish and manage project controls engineers and analysts, including processes, procedures and tools.
• Provide oversight to ensure timely execution and optimize resources.
• Track project budgets, expenses, and forecasts; monitor performance against plan.
• Create and distribute KPIs, status reports, and dashboards.
