Job summary

X-energy LLC is seeking a Planning & Scheduling Lead to join its team in Gaithersburg, MD. The role will monitor and measure the schedule, applying best practices to optimize fidelity and reporting to management.

Responsibilities include leading planning processes, guiding scheduling resources, and collaborating with project controls SMEs to implement standards across programs. A bachelor’s degree and ~8 years of experience are required, with Primavera P6 experience highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in management, business, engineering, science, or related discipline.
• Typically eight years of project controls and scheduling experience.
• Experience using software applications for schedule management (e.g., Primavera P6).
• Demonstrated ability to lead work efforts, coordinate priorities, and provide guidance to peers or junior resources.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and scheduling processes, procedures, and toolsets within the project controls department, including scoping, coordination, implementation, and support of planning and scheduling activities.
• Provide guidance and direction to planning and scheduling resources for the effective and timely execution of assigned tasks and help optimize project controls resources to meet deliverable deadlines.
• Work with other project controls SMEs to establish, implement, and monitor best practices and guidelines related to planning and scheduling across the organization.
• Support Business Development efforts with project controls needs during initial client engagements, proposals, and project initiation and planning phases.
• Ensure effective communication between the planning and scheduling team and individual project teams or functional organizations.
• Work with the planning and scheduling team to establish and conduct project controls training for internal resources and project teams as needed.
• Maintain professional demeanor and behavior at all times in all forms of communication.
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
