AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Project Controls Manager – Pharmaceutical and Construction to join our team in Guaynabo, PR. The role involves leading the project controls team, managing cost estimates, budgets, and schedules for complex projects collocated at the client site in Carolina, PR.

The position reports to the Project or Construction Manager and collaborates with multiple groups across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field with 10 years of relevant experience.
• Strong cost management, scheduling, and project planning and estimating skills.
• Ability to interface with external engineering, architectural and construction firms.
• Experience developing budgets, cash flows, financial analysis and/or schedules.
• Proficiency with Primavera and MS Projects; ERP experience.
• Proficient in MS Excel; able to create trend curves and dashboards.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English.

Responsibilities

• Manages staff coordination and mentors the project controls team.
• Maintains detailed project cost estimates and forecasts across design, procurement, construction, and closeout.
• Tracks budgets, commitments, actuals, accruals, and forecasts using EV analysis.
• Participates in improving project controls systems and tools.
• Establishes a project work breakdown structure aligned with industry best practices.
• Assists in bid review to ensure cost control requirements are included in contracts.
• Interacts with other groups on cost codes, POs, and change orders.
• Works with scheduling to develop and maintain integrated schedules.
• Manages risk processes and performance dashboards; prepares cost forecasts.
• Provides senior project management support as needed.
