Job summary

AtkinsRéalis seeks a Construction Manager - Pharmaceutical to lead on-site construction activities in Puerto Rico, ensuring quality, safety, and schedule adherence. The role requires coordinating with clients, vendors, and authorities while managing subcontractors and logistics for multi-year projects.

The successful candidate will have engineering credentials, strong writing and communication skills, and experience with PMIS and field IT tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering or related field.
• P.E. is preferred.
• Strong technical writing and communications skills are expected.

Responsibilities

• Plan on-site activities with Program/Project Managers, allocate resources, procure equipment, and schedule milestones.
• Align construction targets, safety, site organization, and policies with customers and partners.
• Oversee all on-site operations from handover to delivery, including start-up, construction, erection, testing and commissioning.
• Ensure compliance with contract specs, quality, timelines, and safety protocols.
• Represent the project on-site and maintain relationships with clients, authorities, suppliers, and financiers.
• Supervise handling, storage, and installation of equipment from external providers.
• Manage subcontractor performance to meet quality, safety and schedule expectations.
• Coordinate logistics for on-site storage and timely delivery of materials.
• Implement and enforce a comprehensive HSE plan; train personnel in safety policies.
