Job summary

Bowman seeks a Project Control Specialist V to join our Houston team, driving cost control, planning, and reporting for oil & gas projects. You will lead the project controls functions, mentor planners, and ensure integrity of schedules and cost baselines throughout project execution.

You will collaborate with project managers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to consolidate data, validate forecasts, and deliver timely performance reports.

Qualifications

• Seven+ years of experience in project controls or cost control.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance/Business/Technical preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems and project accounting processes.
• Proficiency with MS Dynamics 365, MS Project, Primavera P6 and Power BI.
• Excellent facilitation, communication, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Project Controls processes and procedures.
• Consolidate and integrate cost and schedule data to align with WBS/Control Accounts.
• Support Project Managers with estimate creation and cost reporting.
• Create quantity take-offs and unit rate tables for cost estimates.
• Lead change management workflow and schedule baselines approval.
• Review external cost reports and incorporate into cost/EV calculations.
• Prepare detailed cost reports in coordination with the Project Team.
• Maintain schedule EPS, WBS, Activity Calendars, and Resource codes.
• Provide schedule updates and risk assessment inputs.
• Lead a team of Project Controls Specialists, Planner/Schedulers, and Document Controllers.
• Promote clear communication among project team and drive continuous improvement.
