Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist to support services projects across the United States. The role develops time-phased schedules and cost baselines, collects monthly data, analyzes variances, and integrates risk reserves into forecasts.

The successful candidate will generate Earned Value Management reports, support financial controls and mentor junior staff, while collaborating with project teams and leadership. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required and five years of related experience.
• Experience with project controls, scheduling, and cost forecasting.
• Strong knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) and reporting.
• Proven ability to manage large, complex infrastructure projects.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain time-phased schedule baselines and cost forecasts.
• Collect and analyze monthly schedule and cost data; identify variances.
• Prepare risk reserves and integrate into forecasts; report to stakeholders.
• Support implementation of financial controls, systems, and procedures.
• Mentor junior staff and supervise junior engineers on project work.
• Performs other duties as required.
