Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist to support services projects across the U.S. You will develop complex schedule and cost baselines, analyze monthly data, identify variances, and help with risk estimates and forecasting for multiple programs.

You will collaborate with project teams and management to ensure compliance with internal procedures and contract requirements while maintaining rigorous financial controls and performance reporting.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
• Deep knowledge of project finance, accounting or business administration.
• Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM).
• Ability to read construction drawings and develop WBS, schedules and resource plans.
• Proficient in Primavera P6 and EcoSys.

Responsibilities

• Develops time-phased project cost and resource forecasts; validates project costs and updates requirements.
• Reviews schedule progress and resource productivity; monitors expenditures against forecasts.
• Generates and analyzes earned value reports and discusses findings with the project manager.
• Performs portfolio analysis and reviews On Time Delivery and Risk Forecasts with portfolio managers.
• Provides technical guidance and mentoring to junior staff; may supervise junior engineers.
