Job summary

TerraPower in Bellevue, WA is hiring a Senior Project Controls Specialist to lead cost control, scheduling, and reporting for large capital programs. You will develop and oversee project controls processes, manage budgets, and mentor cost control teams, collaborating with PMO, engineering, procurement and construction.

Candidates should have extensive cost management, scheduling (Primavera P6), risk management, and Earned Value; PMP is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, business, or related field.
• 15+ years of experience in project controls, cost management, planning, and scheduling.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Familiarity with Primavera P6 or similar scheduling tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee cost control activities, tracking budgets, costs, commitments, and actuals across large-scale programs.
• Prepare monthly cost reports and cashflow projections; update financial tools.
• Review contractor quotations, invoices, and payments; support POs and commitments.
• Review contractor change proposals, evaluate entitlement and justification; manage change orders and negotiations.
• Provide analysis and oversight of detailed project schedules using Primavera P6; align with milestones.
• Track project performance metrics, including cost, schedule, EV; prepare variance analyses and forecasts.
• Generate reports and dashboards for leadership using Power BI; maintain records and ensure process compliance.
• Collaborate with PMO, engineering, procurement, construction teams; lead and train project controls staff.
