Job summary

STV, Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist to lead cost, schedule, forecasting, and change management for large projects in the Fairfax, VA / DC region.

The role bridges roles between a specialist and a manager, serving as a technical authority and advisor to project teams and clients. Responsibilities include overseeing budgets, performing variance and EAC analyses, developing integrated schedules, and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Controls, or related field.
• 8–12+ years of progressive project controls experience on large-scale programs.
• Strong cost control, forecasting, schedule management, and change control expertise.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6, advanced Excel, and PMIS reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead project controls activities for large, complex programs, aligning with objectives and client standards.
• Oversee budgets, cost tracking, forecasting, and EAC assessments; identify cost risks.
• Develop and maintain integrated project schedules using Primavera P6; analyze schedule impacts.
• Lead change management reviews and risk identification with cross-functional teams.
• Prepare executive-level project controls reports and dashboards for leadership and clients.
