Job summary

UDR Consulting seeks a Principal Project Controls Specialist for our client at the Savannah River Site in Aiken, SC. The role supports cost and schedule control across multi-project programs and ensures optimal use of resources and funding.

The candidate will develop baselines, perform variance analysis, manage change processes, and provide leadership to project controls staff while maintaining compliance with CAS/FAR principles. DOE clearance is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in business/engineering with 5 years of practical project controls experience.
• Bachelor's degree in related field with 7 years of practical experience; equivalent combinations allowed.
• High school diploma with 15 years of relevant experience may be considered equivalent.
• Expert proficiency in automated accounting, cost management, scheduling and estimating systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop cost and schedule baselines, WBS, and spend plans to optimize resources.
• Lead advanced controls applications and guide junior staff on complex analyses.
• Participate in routine project cost reviews and schedule meetings.
• Develop and implement a basic change management system for assigned work.
• Analyze variances and communicate mitigation plans to management.
• Provide linkage between client and planning process; assist business unit control.
• Perform financial analyses, cost rates, and pool variance analysis.
• Define requirements and models for complex business systems; oversee implementations.
• Initiate special studies and translate ideas into operating plans.
• Prepare monthly financial reports with analyses and forecasts.
• Provide leadership and training to other Project Controls personnel.
