Job summary

Puget Sound Energy is seeking a Project Control Specialist to drive cost, schedule, and change management for capital projects. You will prepare conceptual and detailed schedules, support WBS development, and report project status in a matrix environment with minimal supervision.

The role requires expert knowledge of cost and scheduling techniques, and experience with construction inspection and contract administration. WA driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• BS in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or closely related field; WA driver's license required.
• Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in project controls for large design/construct projects.

Responsibilities

• Reviews project plans, schedules, cost estimates, and changes to meet quality guidelines and help PMs adjust.
• Provides project controls support including WBS, schedule development, status reporting, and cost estimates.
• Acts as project control systems owner and trains staff on assigned systems.
• Monitors project schedules to ensure compliance with procedures and specs.
• Makes recommendations on schedule issues to management.
• Participates in negotiations for changes with field personnel and contractors.
• Directs change orders and cash flow reports; advises on cost/schedule alternatives.
• Demonstrates expert knowledge of project cost and scheduling techniques and related processes.
