Job summary

Puget Sound Energy is seeking a Project Control Specialist to lead cost, schedule and change management for capital projects. This role requires developing schedules, working in a matrix organization and ensuring compliance with safety and governance standards.

You will perform project controls including WBS, cost estimates, change orders, and reporting. A BS in Construction Management or Civil Engineering plus 3+ years of experience and Primavera P3 proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Advanced skills with project management systems including Primavera P3 and related costing/reporting tools.
• BS in Construction Management or Civil Engineering; relevant experience may substitute for education.
• WA driver's license required and 3+ years in project controls for large design/construct projects.

Responsibilities

• Reviews project plans, schedules, cost estimates, and changes to meet quality guidelines and helps project managers adjust as needed.
• Provides project controls support for PSE projects including WBS, work order development, schedule development and status reporting.
• Serves as project control systems expert, trains staff, and develops procedures for assigned systems.
• Monitors schedules to ensure compliance with procedures and specifications.
• Makes recommendations on schedule issues to management.
• Participates in negotiating changes with field personnel and contractors.
• Directs processing of change orders and ensures work aligns with agency guidelines; prepares cash flow analyses.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
