Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist to support construction projects across various locations in the U.S. The role involves developing complex schedule and cost baselines, collecting and analyzing monthly data, identifying variances, and assisting in root-cause analysis.

The candidate will ensure risk reserves are integrated into forecasts, implement financial controls and forecasting techniques, and communicate through standardized reports to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree is required.
• 5 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a college degree.

Responsibilities

• Develops time-phased project cost and resource forecasts; validates project costs and updates requirements.
• Monitors progress of project deliverables and actual expenditures versus forecasts.
• Performs Earned Value Management reporting and variance analyses.
• Provides guidance and training to junior staff and may supervise junior engineers.
