Job summary

WA River Protection Solutions at the Hanford Site in Richland, WA, is seeking a Project Controls Engineer (PCE) to support budgets, schedules, and forecasts for DOE-related programs. The role focuses on data extraction from financial systems to produce monthly indicators and executive-level reports, maintaining baselines, and guiding management decisions.

The PCE will implement cost/schedule control methods, analyze variances, and help drive corrective actions while ensuring adherence to DOE

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in project management, construction management, engineering, business or related discipline.
• Ten (10) years of related experience for Grade 20, or twelve (12) years for Grade 21.
• Note the essential duties for this grade level are like that of the previous grade level, but the scope is larger.

Responsibilities

• Prepare project control procedures for projects and support the project manager in planning and execution.
• Develop forecasts and ensure updates reflect current scope of work.
• Autonomous handling of smaller projects; may supervise staff on larger projects.
• Create and maintain integrated project schedules and cost baselines.
• Develop critical path method logic diagrams for time and resource management.
• Analyze data to validate project control parameters and communicate solutions to management.
• Assess potential cost and schedule impacts and propose corrective actions.
• Maintain cost/planning/schedule database operations and assist in management reporting.
• Investigate deviations from baselines and advise on corrective actions.
• Issue periodic status reports highlighting significant program issues and potential delays.
