Job summary

North Wind Group seeks a Project Controls Engineer III to coordinate daily planning, scheduling, cost management, and performance tracking for environmental projects. You will partner with field teams and project managers to reflect real-time site conditions and progress.

The role emphasizes earned value management, cost control, and forecasting, integrating schedule and budget to drive efficient project execution. Travel 0-25%; ability to obtain government clearance is required.

Qualifications

• 8-10+ years of experience in project controls.
• Minimum 8 years' experience on environmental remediation, construction, or engineering projects.
• Experience with cost estimates to completion (ETC) and forecasting.
• Strong understanding of schedule planning, cost control, and EVMS.
• Familiarity with DOE, USACE, and NAVFAC schedule requirements.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, cost planning, and budgeting using Primavera or MS Project.
• Develop cost-loaded schedules and maintain CBS aligned with WBS.
• Monitor costs, track commitments, and validate progression against budget.
• Prepare EAC/ETC forecasts and support EVMS analyses.
• Analyze schedule variances and provide corrective action recommendations.
• Coordinate data with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors; support invoicing.
• Support change management, risk assessment, and contingency planning.
