Job summary

cornerstoneconcilium is seeking a Senior Project Financial/Portfolio Manager in Hyattsville, MD to oversee budgets, track costs, and manage change orders across WMATA projects. You will maintain financial records, generate KPI reports, and support PM with data-driven insights.

The role requires a 6+ year background in project financial management, proficiency in Power BI and MS 365, and experience with reporting from financial/project systems; PMP is desirable but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a related field
• Minimum 6 years of project financial and portfolio management experience
• Experience with change order management
• Experience with Microsoft 365 applications including Power BI, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint
• Experience developing reports from financial and project systems

Responsibilities

• Maintains familiarity with plans, schedules, and safety regulations to support project teams
• Assists in budget oversight and financial record keeping
• Manages payroll reports and variance analyses for project management
• Analyzes proposed vs actual costs and tracks budget variances
• Prepares KPI-based project and portfolio variance reports
• Documents contingency usage and aligns with change order data
• Coordinates addenda to project documents and charts overall schedule
• Reviews and updates project management controls and processes
• Provides technical support for change orders and cost estimates
• Monitors project activities, claims, payments, and contract administration
• Performs other duties as assigned by the WMATA Task Manager
